About Altiplano
Altiplano Metals is a growing gold, silver, and copper company focused on the Americas. The Company has a diversified portfolio of assets that include a developing copper/gold/iron mine and a state-of-the-art operating copper/gold and iron processing facility. Altiplano is focused on creating long-term stakeholder value through developing safe and sustainable production, reinvesting into exploration and development, and pursuing acquisition opportunities to provide scalable upside growth. Management has a substantial record of success in capitalizing on opportunity, overcoming challenges and building shareholder value.
Revenue Generator Model:
Altiplano has generated over C$22.2 million from the recovery and sale (after processing costs) of more than 6.95 million pounds of copper (January 2018-September 2024). Cash flow has been re-invested into equipment, underground drilling, expanding underground development, and the construction and completion of the El Peñón Cu-Au-Fe processing plant. This progress has enabled Altiplano to establish a significant foothold in the Chilean mining community.
Processing:
The El Peñón processing facility is located approximately 30 km south of La Serena, Chile and is designed to produce copper-gold and iron concentrates. The state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in the small-scale processing sector of Chile facility employing industry leading ESG focused principles. Altiplano reduces its environmental footprint through advanced dewatering and magnetic recovery systems. These processes produce dry tailings without the need for a tailings dam, reduce water consumption by 75% and through the capture and sale of 68% magnetic iron, reduces overall tailings output by 40%
Past Production:
Altiplano mined the Farellon Project located near La Serena, Chile from Jan 2018-June 2024 extracting approximately 232,000 tonnes that were sold to ENAMI generating 6.95 million pounds of copper. Altiplano focused on grade control mining the IOCG-type deposit with an average grade of 1.81% copper while developing and operating on numerous underground production levels accessed via a decline system.
Exploration and Development:
Altiplano is focusing on exploration and development of the Santa Beatriz copper-gold mine situated in Chile’s copper-rich iron oxide copper gold belt (IOCG). The past producer is located approximately 30 kms south of La Serena, Chile. Production from Santa Beatriz offers ideal potential for processing at the Company’s El Peñón facility located ~13 km to the north. The IOCG-type veins at Farellon and Santa Beatriz share similar mineral characteristics and a northeast orientation indicating that both projects could be part of a larger system Copper and gold mineralization at Santa Beatriz host excellent potential to develop a high-grade copper and iron resource with associated gold
Growth Opportunities:
Abundant opportunity exists near the Company’s processing facility at El Peñón to acquire near term minable projects and purchase mineralized material to support the production of copper-gold concentrates from the processing plant. In addition, Altiplano is searching for high quality exploration targets with discovery potential. This revenue generator model with an exploration focus provides investors with exposure to copper/gold production while providing upside through the discovery of scalable exploration projects.
